Try Running

We are designed to run.
But we are not taught how to run…
Until now.

Whether you’re an experienced runner or are just starting out, benefit from the expertise and experience of Britain’s Former Female Athlete of the Year and twice European 800m medallist, Becky Lyne, as she guides you toward running GRACE-fully.

Using this memorable acronym you will be taught how to tap into the ‘free energy’ so successfully exploited by professional athletes.

Not only will this greater understanding and execution of the body’s innate movement patterns unlock faster PBs, it will also serve to reduce injury and create a more positive mindset when running.

Running Groups

Philosophy and Approach:

At Torr de Force, I feel it is important to take a holistic approach to the health and fitness of you as a client as there are so many factors that contribute to your overall wellbeing.  Via a detailed consultation, I look at your nutritional intake, your levels of physical activity, your nutritional and fitness history and your overall lifestyle.  We would then work together to set achievable short, medium and long-term goals.

I am also very interested in how psychology affects your approach to nutrition and fitness and encourage you to devise ways to avoid lapsing and to firmly establish tactics that will help you deal with future unavoidable life situations that might cause stress where, in the past, you might have resorted to more unhealthy behaviours.  This is where clients might find themselves in the yo-yo cycle of weight loss followed by weight gain.

As a mother of two young children, I am aware of how your body and your mind can change after having had children.  I am keen to work with mums who want to, on a psychological level, regain their sense of identity and increase their self-confidence and, physically, increase their fitness levels and target areas that they feel insecure about.  I also understand that time is precious and would talk with them about how they could fit in a healthy eating and exercise regime around their children.

Torr de Force : Your journey to stronger.

“After 30 years of running and a recent knee operation I have been so inspired by Becky’s training, programmes, coaching and endless enthusiasm so much so that I am now enjoying running and training more than I have ever done and I cannot recommend her highly enough. She is just brilliant !”
Nick Sims
“After many years running, I’d become a bit of a “plodder”. Becky’s running form tips helped put the spring back in my step. By concentrating on running form not effort, I took 8 minutes off my 10k and ran PBs for 5k. Magic!”
